All about me
My name is Jamie Brewer, I’m a 28 year old freelance web designer from Saint Joseph, MO. I’ve written a bit about myself and how I have arrived where I am today in the world of web design and freelance work. It all started back in…
2002
I discovered Photoshop 7 in 2002 and was completely amazed with it. I started playing around in it every now and then making funny pictures of family members and inserting fake backgrounds into pictures. After a short time I became glued to it and spent hours and hours of time playing around and following along with tutorials. After a couple of years I joined the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP). This was a great resource in sharpening my Photoshop skills and moving forward in my career I was working toward.
2005
In 2005 I got my first Adobe Photoshop ACE Certification (Adobe Photoshop CS2) this qualifies me as an expert in the world of Photoshop and image manipulation. I have since retained that certification for each creative suite release. I really enjoyed the graphic design and finally got a chance to show my stuff with Blackjack Tire Repair. Some of the things I did there were:
- Manage projects and maintain workflow
- Conceptualizing and producing packaging and labeling for company identity
- Conception and production of marketing via email.
- Helped build and maintain the website
I did a lot of print and web work for BlackJack over the course of about fourteen months. I really enjoyed this job and was ecstatic to get it.I felt like I had finally got my foot in the door. This is also where I met a great friend who introduced me the world of Content Management Systems. I had already been usingHTML and CSS before I started working at BlackJack and I built a couple of primitive websites on my own. After the discovery of Content Management Systems coupled with a little Smarty know how the sky was the limit!
Currently…
Over the past two years I have have tried to zero in on my coding and development skills to provide clients with high-quality, cross-browser compatible W3C Valid XHTML / CSS markup! As well as great feature development to enrich each website for a great user experience. I am currently a full time web designerfor the Creative Services division of the Triggerfish Corporation & an author for the EnvatoNetwork. Many of the great web services we provide at Triggerfish I also offer as freelance services to people in need. Thanks for visiting my web site and considering the available services provided.
